ISTAF World Sepak Takraw Championship 38th Thai King's Cup 2025, Hat Yai, Thailand

The Bangladesh National Sepak Takraw Team participated in the 38th King's Cup Sepak Takraw World Championship 2025. The team departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on July 19, 2025, at 1:40 PM via US-Bangla Airlines (Flight BS 217) and arrived in Bangkok at 5:30 PM local time. From there, the delegation traveled by train to Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, and reached the official hotel, Siam Oriental Hotel Hat Yai, on July 20, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

Accommodation: The team stayed at Siam Oriental Hotel Hat Yai, the official hotel designated by the organizing committee, throughout the championship.

Total Delegation: The Bangladesh delegation consisted of 24 members, including 9 male players, 7 female players, 4 coaches, 2 team managers, 1 ISTAF Referee, and 1 Meeting Delegate who also served as an ISTAF & ASTAF Executive Committee Member. The male players were Md. Imran Hossain, Sayed Hossain, Bandhon Bar, Md. Rakib Hossain, Md. Naeem Hossain, Md. Nayon Hossain, Kazi Fahadur Rahman, Antor Kumar Roy, and Md. Afzal Hossain. The female players were Bithi Chakma, Mohina Chakma, Fatema Parvin, Most Ayren Khatun, Most Sharmin Akter Mim, Most Sumaiya Khatun, and Purna Barua. The coaching staff comprised Md. Mahmudul Hasan Reaj, Md. Gamil Ahmed, Md. Rubel Hasan, and Bobita Rani Roy. The team managers were Md. Suman Dhaly and Md. Lutful Karim, while Shahadath Hossain served as the ISTAF Referee and Md. Faruk Dhali attended as the Meeting Delegate and ISTAF & ASTAF Executive Committee Member.

Division 1 Participating Countries: Bangladesh competed in Division 1 alongside Chinese Taipei, Iraq, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, France, and Australia.

Match Results: Bangladesh achieved outstanding results throughout the championship. The men's team won a Bronze Medal in the Division 1 Hoop Event and a Silver Medal in the Division 1 Regu Event. The women's team secured a Gold Medal in the Division 1 Hoop Event and Bronze Medals in both the Division 1 Regu Event and the Division 1 Quad Event. In the Mixed Quad Event, Bangladesh earned a Silver Medal, demonstrating strong performances across both men's and women's events.

Health & Safety: All members of the traveling delegation remained in good health throughout the tour from July 19 to July 30, 2025.

Team Discipline: The team strictly followed all rules and regulations and maintained excellent discipline during their stay in Thailand and throughout the competition.

Return to Bangladesh: After completing the championship, the team departed from Siam Oriental Hotel Hat Yai on July 29 at 4:30 PM and traveled by train to Bangkok, arriving at 8:00 AM on July 30. They departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 2:40 PM via US-Bangla Airlines (Flight BS 218) and arrived safely in Dhaka at 4:20 PM on the same day.
